'I love free and free loves me'
Did I tell you?~ I ordered a lilac shrub from these people:
http://www.freetreesandplants.com/index.html
I figured I would try this company ~ it seems like a good thing, with their custom of hiring handicapped people and all that. With only the shipping to pay for, I think it's worth a try.
Remember I didn't want to put out much money on perennials this season, in case we had another hideous drought, like last August. The thought of watching more pretty perennials die makes me wimp out completely!
So, I'm probably just going to be getting this lilac shrub, this garden season, and some annuals. ~ I don't feel so bad when they die! They're supposed to die!
Live long and prosper!
Speaking of which, I've been nursing two begonia plants through the Winter, and they're still alive (no thanks to Aster).
Aster LOOOoooves begonias! He likes to rub against them ("oh, hug!") and love on them, which makes them break off and get unhappy! But so far, his favorite, a white tuberous in full bloom, has held on, despite his affection and attention.
Goofy cat....!

I love lilacs, they smell so good. What a cute cat! I bet he's full of life.
Now I just love this post Christine...you're more like a "Chris", a pal, someone to go barefooted with...I love it. I love the goofy cat, too...as you know we have many goofy cats and I intend to go order myself a lilac bush so I can be just like my pal Chris...
